A five-month series "Summer Sundays in the Park" have been announced by the Corporation of Hamilton.

The first of the family-oriented events takes place tomorrow from 3pm to 8pm in Victoria Park. The day will begin with an official ribbon cutting and rededication ceremony of the refurbished 121-year-old Victoria Park bandstand. The bandstand was dismantled last summer, shipped to Scotland, refurbished and returned to Bermuda where it has been reassembled.

The Bermuda Regiment and the Menuhin Foundation will perform, and local entertainers will include The Secret backed by the Wall Street Band and the Caliber Horns, United Dance Productions and Sea Breeze Salsa Dancers.

There will also be food for purchase and free activities for children including fun castles, temporary tattoos and face painting.
