A ferry operator who allegedly crashed a vessel and endangered the lives of 46 passengers and crew on board appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday.
Paul Jermaine Trew, 31, of Bridge View Lane, Sandys, denied allegations that he caused the Government Ferry Serenity to run aground in Dockyard on September 15, 2007, through ignorance or negligence of his own.
Trew also denied trying to endanger the life or limb of any person on board the ferry, namely 46 passengers and crew, when he allegedly collided with a berthing dock on the same date.
Trew was ordered to appear back in Magistrates' Court on December 3 at 2.30 p.m. He was released on bail of $2,000.
