Girl crossing road is injured by bike

A seven-year-old girl suffered a fractured leg after she was struck by a motorcycle while crossing the road.
According to Police, the rider overtook a line of stationary traffic on Victoria Street near the junction with Washington Street, when he collided with the girl on Wednesday afternoon.
The 20-year-old Hamilton Parish man riding the bike sustained a laceration to his left hand, bruising to his right forearm and injured his right ankle. The girl, from Smith's Parish, sustained a fractured leg.
She is now in stable condition at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
The cycle received minor damage. Inquiries into the incident are underway.
