Man accused of carjacking and firearm offence

Police custody: Police escort Jerome Dublin into Magistrates' Court in connection with a fire arms offence and robbery on Friday.

A man has been accused of carjacking and conspiring with others to use a firearm in relation to a robbery.

Appearing in Magistrates' Court yesterday, Jerome Dublin, of The Glebe Road, Pembroke, is alleged to have worked with persons not before the court, to robbing a man of a car using force last Friday.

The 31-year-old was also charged with conspiring with another person not before the court to use a firearm or imitation firearm in relation to the robbery.

Dublin, represented by lawyer Charles Richardson, was not required to enter a plea as both matters must be heard in the Supreme Court.

He will appear back in Magistrates' Court next Tuesday for mention. Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner remanded him into custody until then.
