Man arrested for impaired driving after crash

A man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving after crashing into an embankment.The 33-year-old man, from St. George's, received minor cuts to his legs and his rental cycle was damaged on the front and left side.Police were called out to the incident in North Shore Road, Hamilton, near the junction with Studio Lane, at 1.25 a.m. on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old man, from St. George's, received minor cuts to his legs and his rental cycle was damaged on the front and left side.

Police were called out to the incident in North Shore Road, Hamilton, near the junction with Studio Lane, at 1.25 a.m. on Wednesday.

A Police spokesman said: "It appears that a rental cycle was travelling east on North Shore Road when the rider lost control and collided with an embankment."

A man is in hospital after colliding with a car as he overtook a van during rush hour.

The 21-year-old motorcyclist from Warwick received injuries to his right leg, but his condition was yesterday described as "stable".

The accident took place at 5.55 p.m. on Tuesday at the junction of Spice Hill Road and Warwickshire Drive, Warwick.

A Police spokesman said: "It appears that the auxiliary cycle was travelling west on Spice Hill Road when the rider overtook a van and collided with a car travelling in the opposite direction."

The car driver, a 66-year-old Warwick woman, was uninjured. Both vehicles sustained front-end damage.
