Reports of gun and gang activity in the St. Monica's Road area of Pembroke have put the Police on a heightened state of alert.

A press release reported: "The Bermuda Police Service has recently received reports of suspected firearm activity in the St. Monica's Road, Pembroke area and increased violence involving young men associated with the gang culture.

"In light of these reports, we wish to reassure the public that the Police are aware of these activities and that we will be responding appropriately."
