Two burglaries were reported in Pembroke, with the suspects escaping empty-handed in both incidents.

The first was reported at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

According to Police, the complainant discovered an unknown man in his North Shore Road home and chased him off the premises.

Said a Police spokesperson: "It appears that the offender made good his escape empty-handed. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6ft tall with short hair wearing a grey T-shirt and blue jeans."

A second burglary was reported at 8.55 p.m. that day at a Sunset Close home.

"The complainants stated that sometime between 8.30 a.m. and 7 p.m. that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied," said Police. "It appears that the culprit did not take anything from the premises."
