Post Office to host meetings to discuss changes

The Bermuda Post Office will be holding town hall meetings this week to discuss changes to the postal regulations coming into effect at the end of next month.

Postmaster General George Outerbridge said: "We want to ensure that Bermudians understand the reasons and the background for the Post Office making these changes and also to hear our customers' concerns."

Starting on August 31, mailboxes need to be placed as close to the main road as possible, and all the boxes, or buildings, need to be clearly labelled, otherwise the mail will not be delivered.

Three meetings will be held in the coming weeks, one at Cathedral Hall on Wednesday, one at Francis Patton School on Thursday, and the last meeting will be held next Monday at the Dalton E. Tucker School. All meetings begin at 6.30 p.m.
