Road offender faces $3,700 fine or jail

A Pembroke man may serve time in jail after not paying for six past traffic offences.Dion Bean, 45, of Cox's Hill Road, was ordered to pay $3,700 before leaving Magistrates' Court or serve 100 days default in prison.Bean asked Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo for more time to pay, but the Magistrate replied: "You've had since 2005."

Dion Bean, 45, of Cox's Hill Road, was ordered to pay $3,700 before leaving Magistrates' Court or serve 100 days default in prison.
Bean asked Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo for more time to pay, but the Magistrate replied: "You've had since 2005."
Bean, who admitted to driving an unlicensed motor car, having no insurance and no driver's license on two occasions, July 9, 2004 and July 28, 2005, failed to appear to court at an earlier date and had to be brought in on a warrant.
