Santa's airport arrival
Over forty students from the Creative Touch Nursery school filed into the L.F. Wade International Airport on Friday for a chance to tell Santa just how good they've been this year and what they would like for Christmas.
The arrival of Santa has been a tradition at the Bermuda International Airport for as long as anyone can remember. "This has been going on my entire life, and I'm 29 years old," said, Gavin Smith, graphic designer, The Phoenix Stores
He, along with Tina Adderley, head of marketing of Phoenix Stores, helped coordinate the event. However, they could not do it themselves. According to Tina Adderley, Santa's arrival at the Bermuda International Airport and the Phoenix Centre is truly a community effort.
It starts with Santa's arrival at the Airport, and thereafter with Bermuda Fire Services who make their way through Hamilton, sirens and all, to drop off Santa at City Hall and then the Phoenix Centre.
Children and their families met Santa at the Annual City Hall Tree Lighting ceremony last Friday before he made his way to the Phoenix Centre to greet shoppers and other well-wishers.
