Social Inquiry Report ordered for man who had cocaine
A Pembroke man caught with cocaine nearly three years ago, awaits sentencing in the New Year.
Ricco Furbert, 21, of Happy Valley Road, admitted to possessing 0.09 grams of cocaine on January 18, 2006.
Furbert was caught by Police after the auxiliary cycle he was riding pillion on, was stopped near Parsons Road in Pembroke.
Furbert had his right hand in his right pocket and when cautioned by Police, turned and tried to walk away. When Police yelled 'Stop' Furbert continued walking.
Officers eventually caught up with him and saw him drop a white paper twist on the sidewalk. The twist contained an off-white rock-like substance, the court heard.
A Social Inquiry Report was ordered for Furbert, who will have to appear back in court on January 30. Until then, he was released on $1,000 bail.
