Tickets are now on sale for the Premier's Farewell Gala, featuring appearances by stars like Gladys Knight, Star Jones and BET hosts Terrence J and Rocsi.

The gala, which features a weekend of activities, will begin with a Green and White Beach Party at Snorkel Park on September 10. The event will be attended by the BET hosts, as well as Thaao Dill from HOTT 107.5. Special appearances will also be made by actresses Tichina Arnold and Tisha Campbell-Martin and actor Duane Martin. Tickets for the party are $40 and up.

Dr. Ewart Brown will formally step down in October and leave his post as leader of the country and elected MP. He is saying his goodbyes to friends and supporters with events from September 10 to 13.

Included in the activities is a Golf Tournament at Port Royal on Saturday, followed by a ladies luncheon with First Lady Wanda Henton Brown. Tickets for both events start at $250.

That evening there will also be a Black-Tie Gala Dinner and Show featuring a performance by Gladys Knight. Special appearances will also be made by talk show host Star Jones and actresses Pauletta Washington and Lynn Whitfield. Local entertainers including McCartney Darrell, Toni Robinson and Gene Steede will also entertain the guests at Fairmont Southampton Princess. Tickets start at $500.

On Sunday, there will be a worship service at First Church of God in Pembroke, followed by a Platinum and Gold Dinner at the Premier's home.
