An American tourist suffered facial injuries after falling off her rental motorcycle when she bumped into the sidewalk.

The 28-year-old Rhode Island woman crashed after losing control of her vehicle at the junction of Middle Road and South Road in Southampton at 11.40 a.m. on Saturday. She was travelling east.

Police say she received injuries and abrasions to her face, left leg, knee and hand, while the cycle's front was damaged.
