Traffic lights not working

Drivers are being asked to drive carefully in Hamilton after Hurricane Igor damaged the city's traffic lights.

A spokesperson for the Corporation said: "As a result of high winds, traffic lights in the City are not operational. Members of the motoring public are urged to use extreme caution while driving in Hamilton over the next few days."

To prevent accidents, drivers are asked to stop at each light and move forward only when it is safe to do so.

The spokesperson also added that Spurling Hill has reopened, and reminded commuters that there will again only be two lanes of traffic until Spurling's Hill.
