Police searched two suspicious looking men on a Hamilton street and arrested them after finding what appeared to be house-breaking equipment and a 'plant-like' material on them.

Late Friday night, Police on mobile patrol on Church Street observed two males standing outside the gate of a cycle shop.

The officers noticed the two men were acting suspiciously.

After speaking with the men, Police noticed one of the men in possession of what is believed to be house-breaking implements.

They then searched the two men and found a white twist with plant-like material on the other suspect.

Both men were taken to Hamilton Police Station were they were arrested and subsequently bailed.
