Writ filed to put Pink Beach Club in receivership

A writ has been filed which would see Pink Beach Club placed in receivership.The writ was filed naming the South Shore Road, Smith's hotel property on June 19. It did not appear in the Supreme Court Registry's public files until this week. <I>The Royal Gazette</I> understands a staff meeting was called last week.Employees were told there were "malicious rumours" being circulated that the property would be sold or closed and that neither was the case. A source told this paper that summer occupancy rates have been lower than the previous years with fewer than 30 people staying at the property last week.
