Digicel bermuda has partnered with the Hands of Love Ministry to help the charity spread its message and collect food for hungry families.As part of the promotion, until March 11, all Digicel customers will be able to make a monetary donation to Hands of Love by sending a text message with the word “GIVE” to 4483.And Digicel will send a text message to all of its customers informing them how they can help provide food for those in need.“In the community, we are all neighbors,” said Hands of Love administrator Fern Wade. “This is a great cause to open your hearts to ensure that all families will not only have food for today, but for tomorrow also.”While Ms Wade said all non-perishable canned goods will be accepted, items like pasta, canned meat, juice boxes, canned vegetables, sauces, crackers, cereal, rice and sugar are all particularily useful for a hungry family.Digicel employees themselves have already donated various food items to the charity, and will assist in the preparation of the food hampers for distribution.
