Police name accident victim

Police have named Vershon Simmons as the 18-year-old who died in a traffic accident last night.
The Pembroke resident's motorcycle and a car collided on Harbour Road near Cobbs Hill around 9.30pm.
Said a Police spokesman: "He was seriously injured and rushed to hospital via ambulance; however he later succumbed to his injuries. The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family and friends of Mr Simmons."
Mr Simmons is the first person to die on Bermuda's roads this year.
A police investigation into the collision is underway. Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Steven Darrell of the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.
