Fire fighters battled last night to extinguish a blaze at the Riddell’s Bay Golf and Country Club in Warwick.The brush fire which broke out around 7.40 pm consumed greenery on the golf course, however a team with the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service was able to control the fire.According to a man who lived nearby, there appeared to be no structural damage to surrounding homes or buildings. In addition, no one appears to have been hurt.A Police spokesman confirmed last night: “The fire was a brush fire in the Riddell’s Bay area and the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service attended, eventually extinguishing the blaze. Police were also made aware.”
