26-year-old arrested over stabbing
A 26-year-old man was this morning arrested in connection with the multiple stabbing of a 57-year-old man.
The victim, Randy Thompson, was stabbed in broad daylight on a Somerset street yesterday and today remains in intensive care at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
This morning a Police spokesman said: “Around 6am today a 26-year-old Sandys man suspected of seriously assaulting a 57-year-old man was arrested by police after being located at a Sandys residence. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
“A check of the victim's condition also around 6am today confirmed that he is in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing by the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit and anyone with any information that may assist is encouraged to contact detectives on 234-1010.”
