A 31-year-old Sandys man is in critical condition in hospital following an accident on Harbour Road early this morning.

The single-vehicle accident happened near the junction with Chapel Road in Paget around 4.30am, a Police spokeswoman said.

“It appears that a motorcycle was travelling on Harbour Road when it collided with a wall. The rider, a 31-year-old Sandys parish man, was injured and transported to King Edward Memorial Hospital via ambulance. At last check, he was listed in critical condition.”

Motorists were diverted away from the area while Traffic Collision Investigators examined the scene, the spokeswoman added.
