Tyrone Smith fails to qualify for finals

Tyrone Smith suffered disappointment at the IAAF World Championships in South Korea failing to qualify for the long jump final.

Smith, who won a gold medal at the CAC Games last summer, could only finish ninth in his group with a best leap of 7.91 metres.

Dwight Phillips, of the USA, was the best qualifier with a leap of 8.32m.
