Two vehicles damaged after collision in Smith’s

Two drivers involved in a collision on Knapton Hill on Saturday managed to avoid serious injury.

According to police, at around 10.30am officers responded to a report of a collision between a taxi and an SUV in Smith’s.

A Police Spokesman said: “It appears that the SUV was travelling along Harrington Hundreds Road and the taxi was travelling along Knapton Hill when the vehicles collided at the junction.

“The driver of the SUV, a 45-year-old woman, received minor injuries. The taxi driver was not injured. Both vehicles were damaged.”

The spokesman said that police are still investigating the incident.
