Ophelia expected to be Cat 1 hurricane

Tropical Storm Ophelia is forecast to be a category one hurricane when she goes past Bermuda this weekend.According to the Bermuda Weather Service the closest point in the next three days is due to be 12pm on Saturday when the storm will be 213 miles to the southeast.BWS says Ophelia is a potential threat to Bermuda.The BWS forecast today says: “High pressure still relatively centered over the area will continue mainly fair and dry conditions into Thursday morning. Tropical Depression Ophelia will begin to increase winds starting on Thursday and then showers later on Friday. Saturday sees continued showers with a chance of thunder as Ophelia makes her final approach to the area.”
