Police name US visitor road victim

A Rhode Island man was yesterday named by police as the man killed in a St George’s traffic collision.Michael Lancelotta, a 48-year-old American visitor, died following a collision between a rental cycle and a water truck on Wellington Street, near Tiger Bay.The crash took place at around 6pm on Sunday. Mr Lancelotta was taken to King Edward VII Memorial for treatment, but later succumbed to his injuries.He death is the first on Bermuda’s roads this year.Witnesses or anyone with information about the fatal collision is asked to contact PC Walter Jackson at the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.
