Car overturns after crash

A 55-year-old woman escaped with “minor injuries” after her car collided with an embankment and overturned.

The single-vehicle collision happened in Devonshire around 1.40pm yesterday.

Said a police spokeswoman: “It appears that a car was travelling along Happy Valley Road when it collided with an embankment and overturned. The car was extensively damaged however, the driver, a 55-year-old Pembroke woman received minor injuries that apparently did not require hospital treatment.”

The accident is being investigated by police.
