Watson honoured

Bermuda Track and Field Association president Donna Watson will is among five recipients of Progressive Labour Party’s Drum Major awards this year.

Other recipients are Ann Pindar, Reginald Pearman, Verneil Simons and the late Dorothea Simons. The awards will be presented on Sunday at the PLP’s Annual Founders’ Day and Drum Major Awards Luncheon.

There will also be a skit performed by Dellwood School students, directed by Ms Nishanthi Bailey.

The keynote speaker is Senator Diallo Rabain, who is the PLP candidate for Hamilton South in the next general election.

The event will be at Fairmont Hamilton Princess at 1.30pm. Tickets are available at PLP Headquarters.
