Lights in sky spook St George’s residents

St George’s residents were thrown into consternation last night by “lights in the sky”, Bermuda Maritime Operations reported.About 40 calls to the agency included questions from police and air traffic control.“There were concentric circles of flashing lights in the sky, red and green,” a spokesman said. “It was stationary in the sky at least an hour.”Calls poured in from about 9.20pm. However, the spokesman added: “I got a telescope on it. It was a kite. I could see the tether. But it was very striking to see.”
