A female tourist injured when her bike collided with a truck is in intensive care in hospital, police said today.A Police spokeswoman said: "Around 12 noon on Monday April 9, police responded to a report of a collision between a truck and a livery cycle."It appears that the vehicles were travelling along Malabar Road in Sandys when they collided. The rider, a 46-year-old American female visitor, sustained serious leg injuries and was conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment."At last check she was in the Intensive Care Unit. It is anticipated that she will be flown overseas for further medical treatment. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing."
