Tourist on livery cycle injured in crash

A tourist riding a livery cycle was left with “very serious leg injuries” after a collision with a truck near Watford Bridge in Sandys.Police forensics closed off the bridge to traffic for two hours following yesterday’s 12pm crash.Initial reports from Acting Chief Inspector Robert Cardwell of the Somerset Police Station indicated the visitor, who was subsequently taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment, had been hurt in the legs.A police spokesman later said the two vehicles had been travelling along Mangrove Bay Road in Sandys when they collided.The incident is under investigation.
