Mayor Gosling and team will run again

After running on the same slate as candidates in the 2009 Hamilton Municipal Election, Mayor Charles Gosling and his administration have announced their intention to run again.For the city’s May 10 election, Mr Gosling stands with Deputy Mayor and Alderman John Harvey, Aldermen Dennis Tucker and Marshall Minors, and councillors Walter Cross, Pamela Quarterly and Nicholas Swan. New candidate RoseAnn Edwards runs for councillor.The group recognised departed Alderman Glen Smith, and Alderman Pamela Ferreira, who is to retire.If elected, they pledged to integrate North Hamilton and the Economic Empowerment Zone with the rest of the city, and to boost North Hamilton’s infrastructure.They also vowed to continue a push for a City Rangers programme, plus development of the Hamilton waterfront, more CCTV, and greater transparency.
