Police appeal for vehicle collisions witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses to two vehicle collisions yesterday.The first, a single car collision, occured at around 11:30 am in the Town Hill Road, Smiths area.The car collided with a wall as it was travelling along Town Hill Road, injuring its driver, a 39 year old Paget woman and an 11 month old infant. The pair were taken to King Edward Memorial Hospital by ambulance for treatment.The driver, a Paget woman has been treated and released from the hospital while the 11 month old female infant remains in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.Police are inquiring into the incident and would like anyone with any information to contact PC Robin Evans on 295-0011.Another collision occurred in the St John’s Road, Pembroke area around 12:20pm yesterday.A car and an auxiliary cycle were travelling along St. John’s Road when they collided near the junction with Inland Lane. The rider, a 17 year old Pembroke female was injured and attended KEMH where she was treated and released.“The car, reportedly a black Mazda, did not stop and continued to travel east along St. John’s Road after the collision,” reads the police report.Witnesses to this collision or anyone with any information are asked to contact PC Rawle Massiah on 295-0011.
