The Department of Waste Management will be holding a special waste drop-off event this week for some hazardous items.This Friday and Saturday between 9am and 4pm, members of the public will be able to drop off fluorescent bulbs, pesticides, hobby chemicals, outdated medicine or anything with a hazardous or warning label at the Tynes Bay Waste-to-Energy Facility.Businesses with large amounts of special waste, or anyone seeking more information, can contact Clarkston Trott at 278-0562 or 501-3025.
