Three serious accidents on Wednesday involve motorcyclists

Police have revealed details of three crashes that left two men in hospital — one in intensive care.The first, around 4.15pm on Wednesday, involved a car and motorcycle colliding on South Road, Devonshire, near Tee Street.A 23-year-old Warwick man who was riding the motorcycle was taken to hospital.A hospital spokeswoman said he was in a stable condition in the intensive care unit yesterday.The next collision happened around 45 minutes later on Middle Road in Devonshire, near the junction with Corkscrew Hill.It involved one vehicle — a motorcycle. The rider, a 65-year-old Warwick man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.At last check he was recovering on a general ward, according to a police spokesman.Around 7.30pm on Wednesday, two motorcycles collided on Berkeley Road in Pembroke, near the junction with St John’s Road.The riders of both motorcycles, a 41-year-old Pembroke woman and 22-year-old Pembroke man, received minor injuries which did not require hospital treatment.The man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.Anyone with information about any of the collisions should contact the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.
