Woman rushed to hospital

A 36-year-old Devonshire woman was rushed to the hospital’s Emergency Ward on Tuesday, following a two-vehicle collision on North Street in Pembroke.The accident occurred near the junction with Dutton Avenue around 12.15pm, involving two cars and a motorcycle.According to a police spokesman, the motorcycle was travelling along North Street when the collision occurred with a car being driven along the same street. The woman injured was subsequently treated and released from King Edward VII Memorial, inquiries are continuing.Meanwhile, a 54-year-old Devonshire man was arrested by police on suspicion of impaired driving. While there were no reported injuries as a result of the two vehicle accident, both vehicles received extensive damage.The accident occurred around 6.45pm on Tuesday on North Shore Road in Pembroke near the junction with Swansbay Hill. Police inquiries into this collision are ongoing.
