Mirrors will host a free workshop this month aimed at helping parents to be more effective in helping the Island’s youth.A spokesman for the Ministry of Community and Cultural Development said the two-and-a-half day programme will help motivate and empower adults.“Benefits of the programme include having a renewed appreciation for self and what it means to be a parent, new ideas on how to effectively work with young people, and a sense of empowerment and confidence in producing improved results,” the spokesman said.The workshop will take place at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess on Friday, January 18, running from 6pm to 9pm, and will continue on Saturday and Sunday between 9am and 6pm.Those interested in taking part are asked to contact Jennifer Ross on 294-9291 or jaross@gov.bm to register as spaces are limited.
