Deloitte staff make an impact in the community
Deloitte staff recently gave a group of local charities a boost through a day of volunteer service.
Staff cooked meals for people in need, helped build fencing to protect a new National Trust Community Garden, renovated at Tomorrow’s voices and worked with Raleigh Bermuda’s youth on a conservation project.
In total, staff aided nine charities, including Meals on Wheels, the Eliza DoLittle Society, the Bermuda Gymnastics Association, Windreach, Westmeath and CADA.
John Johnston, CEO of Deloitte’s Bermuda and Caribbean region, said: “It’s amazing to see what we can do when we come together for one day in the community.
“These activities touch the lives of hundreds of Bermudian families and it is great to see the smiles on the faces of people we’ve helped. We are proud to provide these charities with the same world class skills and expertise as we provide to clients, and to contribute our skills towards positive social change that helps make Bermuda stronger.
“Impact Day is a symbol of all the great work our professionals do throughout the year in support of our community, and it ignites a real spirit of volunteering within our staff.”
