A “bargain hunters’ paradise” returns next month, with the Warwick Clothing Mart running from February 13 to 17.The Warwick Academy tradition, begun 57 years ago, will be open 11am to 5pm on day one, and 12pm to 5pm until the Sunday ‘$5 a bag sale’ from 3pm to 5pm.The sale, in aid of the school, requires volunteers, especially for the consignment receiving days of February 9 and 10.Event coordinator Lynne Fisher called on the public to clear out cupboards and make some extra cash.Ms Fisher asked for clothing in “gently used” condition, adding that the sale also takes “small appliances in good working order, kitchen equipment, toys, games, linens, silver, china, paintings and bikes”.Baby equipment is popular at the annual clothing Mart, and brand new shoes can be taken — while others will be priced at the organisers’ discretion.Books, tapes, DVDs, bags, hats and belts can be donated to the sale, which drops to half-price on February 16.For details, contact Ms Fisher at 238-0434.
