Roads closed for Convening of Parliament

A number of roads in Hamilton will be temporarily closed this morning due to the Convening of Parliament.

Between 10.30am and noon the road closures will be:

Ÿ Front Street — between Queen Street and the western exit of Number 8 car park (Supermart) both sides.

Ÿ Court Street — between Front Street and Reid Street.

Ÿ Burnaby Street — between Reid Street and Front Street.

Traffic travelling into Hamilton on Front Street from the west will be diverted onto Queen Street. Any traffic departing in an easterly direction from Front Street will be diverted north onto Parliament Street. Traffic travelling into the city from East Broadway will be diverted up Spurling Hill.

Police advise there will be access to businesses along Front Street as far as Number 8 car park.

No parking will be permitted at the following locations from 8am until the conclusion of the ceremony:

Ÿ Front Street — between Parliament Street and Number 8 car park (Supermart).

Ÿ Court Street — between Front Street and Reid Street both sides.

Ÿ Reid Street — between Parliament Street and Court Street both sides.

Ÿ Parliament Street — between Front Street and Reid Street both sides.
