Family Centre to hold fundraiser on March 9

The Family Centre is to hold a fundraiser in an effort to keep its services running.

The event will be held on March 9 at the Fourways Inn, Paget.

A spokeswoman said the charity had come “dangerously close” to shutting down some of its services due to cash shortages last year.

Executive director Martha Dismont added: “Every event we do, we want the community to understand the purpose.

“This is our second time doing this event, and we look forward to more people enjoying an evening that promises to be loads of fun.”

The event will run from 7pm to 11pm.

Entertainers include singer Randy Lambert, comedian Gina Love, Toby Butterfield of Improv Bermuda and United Dance Productions.

King Arthur will DJ and Patrina (PowerGirl) O’Connor will MC.

More than 400 enjoyed last year’s event, Ms Dismont said.

Tickets are $55 in advance and $65 at the door.

They are available online at www.BDAtix.bm and at Family Centre, La Trattoria, Fourways Inn, Café 4 and MEF offices.
