Motorcyclist still in hospital five days after crash

Ambulances wait to go into action out side of the Emergency department at the King Edward Memorial Hospital

A 44-year-old Sandys parish man involved in two vehicle accident in St George’s last week has been moved out of the Intensive Care Unit.The accident occurred near the junction of Texas Road and St Luke’s Lane in St David’s on around 10pm on March 14.The victim was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance where he was treated in the Emergency Ward and admitted for further treatment.A hospital spokesperson said yesterday, his condition has been upgraded and that he is now on a general ward where he is listed in stable condition.Meanwhile, another accident victim involved in a single vehicle motorcycle collision on Parson’s Lane in Devonshire has been released from the hospital.The 31-year-old Devonshire man was also admitted for treatment following the early morning accident that occurred around 12.35am on March 15. The motorcycle involved was extensively damaged.Inquiries into both collisions are continuing, anyone who may have witnessed the accident or anyone with any information is urged to contact police on 295-0011.
