Police investigate Purvis Estate burglaries

Police are investigating a series of burglaries in Warwick they believe to be linked.

Jewellery, liquor and electronic items were taken from homes in Purvis Estate on Monday.

A Police spokesman said: “The complaint states they left their home secure in the morning only to return after work and found out that someone had entered the residence and made off with a Toshiba laptop, orange Kiplin wallet, a Casio watch and other items.

“Meantime, police attended another residence on Purvis Estate on Monday where a complainant states they left their home secured on Monday morning, only to return that afternoon and notice someone had gained entry into their residence and made off with a gold Rolex watch other pieces of jewellery and liquor from the kitchen.”

A gold Gucci watch, a Rolex watch and a number of Louis Vuitton handbags were among the items taken from an attached dwelling, the spokesman said.

“Also in the same area, police spoke with a complainant who states that on Monday morning his dwelling was left secured, however when he returned it was ascertained that someone gained entry into his home and made a tidy search and made off with a jewellery box and other undisclosed items.”

Police have asked that persons take note of anyone trying to sell any of the listed items and contact Western CIU on 234-1010.
