Burglar raids Smith’s home

Police yesterday warned the public to secure their homes after electronics were stolen from a Smith’s home.

A Police spokesman said: “At around 11am Sunday morning, police attended a residence of Skyline Road in Smiths as a result of a breaking and entering.

“Upon police arrival, Officers spoke to the complainant who stated that someone had gained entry in her dwelling and made off with 27in Samsung flat screen TV and remote, a Wi-Fi router, a modem and a circuit breaker.”

The spokesman reminded the public to lock all doors and windows and secure air conditioning units before leaving a residence unattended. Homeowners are also advised to photograph any valuables and record serial numbers on electronic goods so they can be identified if stolen.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact police at 295-0011.
