Stretch of Par-la-Ville Road reopens to traffic
A stretch of Par-la-Ville Road has been largely reopened to traffic after months of trenching work.
The road had been closed between Church Street and Front Street.
The section of road between Church Street and Rosebank Road is now open to traffic and parking, allowing access to Bermudiana Road, a City of Hamilton spokesman said.
Trenching work in the area is expected to continue for the next week or so as Belco and other utilities complete the installation of underground cables.
Meanwhile, an area in North Hamilton remains closed to traffic as repairs continue there.
Said the spokeswoman: “In the interest of public safety, access to Angle Street from Cedar Avenue will remain closed to vehicular traffic while the collapsed wall on the Dellwood School property is assessed and rebuilt.
“The City of Hamilton apologises for any inconvenience caused by these road works.”
