Hundreds of seniors participate in sports day

First Prev 1 2 3 Next Last

Around 200 seniors came together in competition yesterday as part of the third annual Seniors’ sports day.

Seniors from eight of the Island’s rest homes took part in a raft of events and activities, including egg races, wheelchair races and walking races, hosted by the Lorraine Rest Home in Warwick.

Event organiser Capri Smith said: “They all had a blast. They love this day, particularly because everybody gets to participate, everyone gets to have their turn.

“Even if you can’t take part in a foot race, there is something that you can compete in.”
