Tourist’s condition improves at KEMH

A 26-year-old male visitor is in a serious but stable condition in hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Paget on Thursday evening.Police said the man’s motorcycle was in collision with a car at around 7.30pm, as both vehicles were travelling on South Shore Road near the junction with Harvey Road.When first admitted to King Edward VII Memorial, the man was described as being in a critical condition, but his condition improved during the course of yesterday. He remains in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.Police said there were no other injuries reported in the smash, however both vehicles were damaged.Inquiries into the collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.
