Motorist in lucky escape

A motorist had a lucky escape after their jeep overturned and smashed into a utility pole in Devonshire on Wednesday evening.
According to police, the jeep was heading along North Shore Road near Barkers Hill at around 6.15pm when it collided with the curb and flipped over.
Although both the vehicle and pole were damaged in the accident, the driver was uninjured.
No other vehicle was involved, and the pole was later removed by Belco engineers.
Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact Pc Sean Simons on 295 0011.
