A 24-year-old woman is to appear in court after she was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.
Officers stopped the Sandys resident after they noticed her driving a car “erratically” around 4am on Sunday on Middle Road near the junction with Lighthouse Road, Southampton.
Said a Police spokesman: “She appeared to be intoxicated and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.”
Eight other people were also arrested on suspicion of impaired driving over the weekend, as part of the Selective Traffic Enforcement Programme.
Nine people were also arrested for having outstanding warrants and liquor licence checks were made at various premises throughout the Island.
