The Bermuda National Standards Committee (BNSC) has unveiled the latest accredited and certified members of the committee. In a presentation at Charities House, the group formally accredited the Happy Valley Child Care Centre, along with the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute, the Friends of the Hospice and the Duke of Edinburgh Awards in Bermuda. The BNSC also recertified the Bermuda Cricket Board and the Centre on Philanthropy, both of which were previously certified in 2009.Minister of Community and Cultural Development Wayne Scott made some brief remarks at the presentation, expressing his support for the groups working to improve the lives of families and young people, saying that Government cannot solve the problem alone. And BNSC Chairman David Lang said accreditation and certification takes hard work, praising the organisation for their accomplishments.A total of eleven charities have been certified by BNSC, and a spokeswoman for BNSC said several charities and Government groups are this year working toward their accreditation.
