An increased police presence is expected in the Jews Bay area of Southampton after multiple reports of speeding and dangerous driving on Middle Road.A police spokesman said the Roads Policing Unit (RPU) will be stepping up patrols in the area and monitoring traffic.“Several motorists have been recorded at speeds between 70kph and 90kph, with some offenders attempting to elude police,” the spokesman said.“However RPU officers will continue to maintain a highly visible presence in the area to deter dangerous driving behaviours, while apprehending those riders and drivers that persist, with a view to placing offenders before the courts.”
